Julie Desjardins MA, CCC-S, RP
Julie Desjardins specializes in therapy for individuals, parents, couples and families struggling with their relationships. We often see relationships deteriorate because of accentuated mental health issues, a lack of communication, a loss of emotional connection, and external stressors that impact everyone.
Clients who work with Julie can expect a supportive, safe and non-judgemental environment, a gentle approach to challenging oneself, receiving resources and homework, and exploring a new sense of self. She also supports clients in finding new coping skills, developing new communication skills, and strategies to improve their relationships. She places great importance on building a therapeutic relationship based on trust and understanding, as well as guiding her clients to explore new perspectives that are out of their comfort zone.
After 15 years of working in the mental health field, Julie enjoys witnessing her client’s healing process, and their progress with the use of tools and talk therapy. She draws from a variety of approaches, such as Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Cognitive-Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (CBT-DBT), Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT), and attachment-based therapy.
Julie would be more than happy to answer all your questions and get to know you better with a free 20-minute consultation.

Sometimes the world overwhelms – daily stressors of work, school, social and family obligations and worries about finances, climate, or housing can lead to feeling stuck, like we don’t know where to go because there’s so much to deal with and we don’t know where to begin.
I use an evidence and strengths-based approach tailored to your needs and your lived experience that incorporates elements of cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT), mindfulness, acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), experiential techniques, and solution-focused brief therapy (SFBT).
I strive to create a safe space where you can truly be yourself and share your thoughts, feelings, worries, and hopes. Together, we will build on your strengths to help you deal with life’s challenges and become more fulfilled.
Sophie is a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) currently completing her Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University with previous experience as a teacher and research scientist. Having supported many students over decades, she has realized that you get the best out of people when you build them up, not tear them down. That’s why she favours a strengths-based and integrative approach to support clients while they build up. She is passionate about helping students, like those she teaches, transition to post-secondary life and the workforce but also anyone striving to find work-life balance, those dealing with symptoms of anxiety and depression including issues with motivation and finding meaning.

I’m Antoine, a dedicated therapist specializing in overcoming dependence on the internet, pornography, and social media. In our increasingly digital world, it’s easy to feel disconnected from the real world and from the people around us. My mission is to help you break free from these digital dependencies and reconnect with others in a meaningful way. In addition to addressing issues related to internet and social media dependence, I have a strong focus on helping men navigate their unique challenges, enhancing sports performance, and supporting first responders through trauma experiences. Each of these areas shares a common thread: they often involve feeling isolated or disconnected from others. Through our work together, we’ll explore strategies to reduce digital distractions, foster genuine relationships, and address specific personal or professional challenges you may face. My goal is to support you in finding balance and fulfillment in both your personal and professional life, helping you cultivate deeper connections with those around you. If you’re seeking to reconnect with yourself and those who matter most, I’m here to guide and support you on your journey toward a more connected and enriching life.
