Life can feel heavy at times, whether you’re navigating anxiety, self-doubt, chronic pain, or uncertainty about your next steps. My approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in compassion. I believe that meaningful change happens when you feel truly seen and understood. In our sessions, we’ll work together to explore what’s underneath the stress or discomfort you’re experiencing, and to develop practical strategies that help you feel more grounded and confident in your daily life. My goal is to help you reconnect with your strengths, find clarity, and create a sense of peace within yourself and your relationships.

I integrate evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Emotionally Focused Therapy, Humanistic, Person-Centered, and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy. I tailor each session to your unique needs and pace.

Whether you’re struggling with anxiety, self-esteem, body image, relationship issues, or life transitions, I offer a safe and supportive space to explore, grow, and heal. You deserve to feel lighter, calmer, and more aligned with yourself, and I’m here to support you in that process.

Have you or your child spent years feeling misunderstood or like you’ve had to “mask” to get by? Do you feel exhausted from trying to keep up, or wonder why things seem harder than they should? You or your child may be navigating burnout, anxiety, emotional overwhelm, or differences in focus, communication, or identity without fully understanding why. Many of the individuals and families I work with are exploring autism, ADHD, or a neurodivergent profile, including later-in-life recognition. I offer a neuro-affirming space where your lived experience or your child’s is understood from your lens, at a pace that respects how you think and process. Together, we make sense of patterns and develop ways of moving forward that feel more aligned and sustainable. My approach integrates acceptance and compassion-focused therapies with practical strategies, including support for emotional regulation, masking, identity exploration, and burnout. I also provide structured guidance through diagnostic pathways for adults and children, including developmental history, standardized screening, and direction toward formal assessment where appropriate, along with recommendations for supports and accommodations. Therapy can help you or your child feel understood while building a more grounded and compassionate sense of self. Many clients begin to feel less overwhelmed, more confident in their needs, and better able to move forward in ways that truly fit. If this resonates, you are warmly invited to reach out to explore next steps.

Do you struggle with anxiety or depression that affects your day-to-day life, your relationships, or your ability to work and do the activities you enjoy? Do you feel overwhelmed or exhausted trying to keep up while managing your emotions? Do you find yourself questioning your identity, your values, or what a meaningful, fulfilling life really looks like for you? You’re not alone. Many individuals feel stuck, burnt out, or disconnected, especially when navigating a world that doesn’t always feel supportive of neurodivergence or diverse lived experiences. When these challenges go unaddressed, they can lead to deeper overwhelm, disconnection, and a sense of being lost. It doesn’t have to stay this way.

At Desjardins Psychotherapy, I offer neurodivergent-affirming, culturally aware, and trauma-informed individual therapy for those navigating anxiety, depression, life stressors, and questions around identity and purpose. I take an individualized approach, beginning with understanding your unique story and what’s been weighing on you. Together, we explore patterns, build practical coping tools, and clarify your values to help you move toward a life that feels meaningful. My work draws from CBT, DBT, mindfulness, self-compassion, as well as IFS- and polyvagal-informed approaches to support emotional regulation and deeper self-understanding.

Helping people feel more connected to themselves and build a life that feels aligned and worth living is my goal. I bring both clinical training and lived experience into my work, offering a genuine, compassionate space where you can feel understood and supported. Book today for a free consultation and we’ll take the first step together.

You might be coming to therapy because things feel heavier than they used to, or because certain patterns keep showing up in your relationships, emotions, or day-to-day life. Often it’s not just one issue, but a mix of stress, past experiences, and current demands that start to feel overwhelming or confusing. Therapy can be a place to slow things down and begin making sense of what’s happening, without pressure to have it all figured out.

This space is for children (10+), teens, and adults of all ages, as well as couples and families, who are navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, self-esteem concerns, relationship and attachment difficulties, and periods of transition. In couples and family work, this often looks like repeated conflict, communication breakdowns, emotional distance, or feeling stuck in the same cycles. Therapy here is adoption-competent, and experiences related to adoption, kinship care, caregiver stress, and family-of-origin dynamics can be explored with care and understanding.

The work is collaborative and paced. Rather than rushing to solutions, sessions focus on understanding what’s underneath the emotions, behaviours, and patterns you’re noticing. Individual therapy may draw on mindfulness, IFS, ACT, CBT, and DBT to support emotional regulation, insight, and practical change. Couples and family sessions use attachment-based approaches, Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), and the Gottman Method to support clearer communication, emotional connection, and more secure relationships.
